The resounding tones of tired hooves sounded so loud upon the forest floor.Alerting almost everything and everyone of the presence of the ivory mare - Fusion - who trotted sedately on the overgrown forest trail.
Her pelt was of a silvery shade, comparable in colour to the moon which now hung in the sky, but one would hardly had seen the true colorings under the layer of splattered mud and clinging leaves of various sorts. Her mane, once similar in colouring to her bodice was slightly tangled at the ends.It was also unusually long, just an inch from her slender shoulders where her delicate and spindly legs moved with a grace and fluid efficiency
Widening streaks of light grey - which was only a shade or so different from her silvery pelt - flowed down from under her eyes,as though wet streaks left behind by dried tears. The very same hue was also the color of her legs from about three inches from her hooves.A darker shade of the hue was the color of the crudely etched marking of an inverted 'S' on her right rump which was now hidden behind a particularly obstinate patch of mud.
Halting, she tossed her forelock that threatened to obscure her vision, and then surveyed the landscape she had arrived in.The star-spangled sky was gorgeous tonight by the stars twinkled with something else...A warning of sorts. But one she could not place.Lowering her slender skull, she flared her nares to try to pinpoint some familiar scent but none came.Freezing to a complete standstill, she waited.
Where...am I?
